Hello Sergey and TS Team, About a month ago after I updated TS (it may have been 22nd Feb 2023) I got a “Registration Software” screen asking for an Activation Code. I figured that as I had purchased TS Primo and in addition the Pattern Module in December 2020 and registered them then I wouldn’t have to do it again. The only way I could get rid of that “Registration Software” screen was by turning off my computer. I could still use the software after this but mostly used Spectrum Old and TS Spectrum. Intermarket New didn’t seem to be working correctly. Because of that experience I haven’t updated again until today and having done so have got that “Registration Software” screen again, so I added my username and clicked “Send Email”. I have just noticed your reply and entered the required details and a quick look suggests TS is all working ok. I think I must have missed a critical email about the new update method, a search through TS Knowledge Data Base didn’t reveal any information. I watched https://timingsolution.com/Temp1/installer.mp4 and read the relevant emails I could find but they described a different process to what I experienced. If you could point me to the correct description for the new updating method that would be much appreciated. Thanks for all of your help, Regards, Ganstu

Hello, Ganstu
Please check e-mails, you should receive activation for Patter
modules. "Pattern" menu item should be activated in your version.
I've sent code just now.
Best regards.
Sergey.

Hi Sergey, Thanks for your reply. I followed your instructions, I am not sure of the outcome because of as follows – For a while now I have had 2 TS Primo apps on my C drive, TimingSolution & TimingSolutionPrimo. My original TS Primo was TimingSolution (has all of my work saved in it), I don’t exactly know when TimingSolutionPrimo appeared. Yesterday’s update has put Algorithm #5 in TS Spectrum for TimingSolutionPrimo but didn’t for my original TimingSolution so I assume it wasn’t updated.. -Should I uninstall TimingSolutionPrimo & then run updates again for TimingSolution?. -Would I get all updates including potentially missed updates for TimingSolution?. -How do I go about activating original TimingSolution app & Pattern module again? Hell' Ganstu
Do this:
1) Run TS and follow this menu

this is way you will find the folder where TS is installed.
2) If this folder is not correct follow steps explained here https://www.timingsolution.com/Temp1/installer.mp4
i.e. uninstall TS and install it once again setting the correct
folder there. When you do uninstall it does not change your
personal files like worksheets,.. I've checked it.
Best regards.

Hi Sergey, Thanks for your reply. Following your instructions below takes me to my original TimingSolution. Neither TimingSolution or TimingSolutionPrimo have an extra “\TimingSolution” in them. I don’t recall ever having seen the “Select the Destination Location” screen until I watched your video - https://www.timingsolution.com/Temp1/installer.mp4 , or following that destination selection update process through. How Do I update into TimingSolution, which is the app I have used since I have had TS? I have just run update again, and it doesn’t give me the option to edit the update path. During the update transfer I can see it is updating into TimingSolutionPrimo. I hope I have explained this well enough. Thanks for your help, Ganstu

Hello, Ganstu
1) Do this: Through "Add or remove programs" in Setting do
Uninstall as explained in video
What is going on: this way you remove programe from registry. It
does not delete your personal files - I've checked it.
2) Do this: run update and set your folder name there
c:\TimingSolution better type this folder manually, do not use
browse button there
What is going on: because program previously removed from
registry installers asks you the folder where TS should be
installed.
Best regards.

Agreed, this is the simplest solution. TS stores all files in one folder. For example you can transfer TS to another computer simply making a copy of folder. It will ask activation code for new computer and you are ready to work...

Another perhaps less preferred solution might be to copy over to TimingSolutionPrimo all of my saved files from TimingSolution & then uninstall TimingSolution.
Thanks,
Ganstu

Hello, Ganstu
Please check e-mails, you should receive activation for Patter modules. "Pattern" menu item should be activated in your version.
I've sent code just now.
Best regards.
Sergey.

Hello Sergey and TS Team,
About a month ago after I updated TS (it may have been 22nd Feb 2023) I got a “Registration Software” screen asking for an Activation Code.
I watched <https://timingsolution.com/Temp1/installer.mp4> https://timingsolution.com/Temp1/installer.mp4 and read the relevant emails I could find but they described a different process to what I experienced.
If you could point me to the correct description for the new updating method that would be much appreciated.
Thanks for all of your help,
Regards,
Ganstu

This seems to have worked ok except I don’t have my Pattern module, how do I enable this module again?
Thanks,

Agreed, this is the simplest solution. TS stores all files in one folder. For example you can transfer TS to another computer simply making a copy of folder. It will ask activation code for new computer and you are ready to work...

why don't you just a: copy your timingsolution work directory into timingsolutionprimo.
you will have all your saved work in the new timingsolutionprimo.

Hi Sergey,
Thanks for your reply.
Following your instructions below takes me to my original TimingSolution.
Neither TimingSolution or TimingSolutionPrimo have an extra “\TimingSolution” in them.
I don’t recall ever having seen the “Select the Destination Location” screen until I watched your video -
https://www.timingsolution.com/Temp1/installer.mp4 , or following that destination selection update process through.
I think I just need to have the TS updates go to my original TimingSolution & not to TimingSolutionPrimo as I don’t use that app as it doesn’t contain my saved work, that is in TimingSolution as explained below.
This is how TS appears on my “C” drive.
How Do I update into TimingSolution, which is the app I have used since I have had TS?
I have just run update again, and it doesn’t give me the option to edit the update path.
During the update transfer I can see it is updating into TimingSolutionPrimo.
I hope I have explained this well enough.
Thanks for your help,
Ganstu

Hell' Ganstu
Do this:
1) Run TS and follow this menu
this is way you will find the folder where TS is installed.
2) If this folder is not correct follow steps explained here https://www.timingsolution.com/Temp1/installer.mp4
i.e. uninstall TS and install it once again setting the correct folder there. When you do uninstall it does not change your personal files like worksheets,.. I've checked it.
Best regards.
Sergey.
